ProcessIt Shines at IBM's Mobility Day

    LITTLETON, MA June 16, 2010

IBM today hosted a Mobile Strategy Day at the grand opening of the Massachusetts Software Labs in Littleton.  Speakers included Steve Mills, Bob Picciano, Alistair Rennie, Al Zollar, Craig Hayman, and several other senior IBM executives.  Attendees saw presentations, they saw demos from IBM Research and the various IBM software brands.

Alistair Rennie, GM of Lotus Software, presented The Mobile Device as a Primary Productivity Tool for the Enterprise. Citing only one customer success story, Mr. Rennie chose Hexion's ProcessIt-based EPIC capital investment proporsal system which extends the review and approval process to all mobile users.

Those mobile users, mostly executives, are now able to access the requests from any web-capable mobile device, review those requests and securely take action (approve, reject, reassign, etc.). All this from their hand-held devices from virtually anywhere.

Hexion’s Director of Business Process & Systems Rich Wagner says, “Teamwork Solutions' capability to securely extend our Capital Investment Proposal system (EPIC) to the Blackberry enabled traveling workers to approve time-sensitive proposals while on International business travel. Speeding up the approval cycle was beneficial during a time of major business change.”

With these enhancements Hexion has seen the average document approval cycle fall from 23 days to 14 days despite a doubling in the total number of requests sent through the system.

    Gartner Releases New BPM Assessment

STAMFORD, CT, Feb. 18, 2009 - Gartner released a new assessment of BPM in the market place today week with penetrating analysis that helps illustrate key benefits BPM products bring to bear.

From a capabilities standpoint, ProcessIt stacks up nicely against the larger players in the market but at a fraction of the cost. And, of course, it comes with the backing of an agile, responsive organization able to operate without the overhead of our larger competitors.

"Enterprises adopt BPM because they anticipate frequent process changes. From our primary research survey, more than two-thirds of organizations using BPM do so because they expect to need to change business processes at least twice per year. By itself, this finding is unsurprising; processes do change from time to time; however, 18% of companies said they needed to change processes at least monthly, and 10% said processes changed weekly. Another theme that emerged from this data was the impact of unforeseen events on organizations — 16% of companies using BPM (or planning to do so) expected to need to alter processes ad hoc in response to some triggering event. It is not practical for IT professionals only to change processes daily or weekly."

    - Organizations have more than 90% success rate on BPM projects.
    - 67% of BPM projects are completed in less than 6 months (50% in less than 4)
    - 77% of BPM projects had returns greater than $100k, 55% in the $100-500k range.
    - 80% of companies completing BPM projects feel and increase in competitive advantage
